Dr Pasi Maphosa graduated from the University of Zimbabwe in 1997, moved to the UK in 2002 where he completed basic surgical training before moving to Toowoomba in 2007. He has worked as a rural GP since 2008 and has a special interest in men’s health, chronic disease management, skin cancer medicine and surgery.
Dr Tsitsi Maphosa graduated from the University of Zimbabwe in 1998 and worked for almost 5 years in the public health service. Tsitsi and her family moved to the UK in 2002 where she worked in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology until 2006. In 2007, Tsitsi and her family relocated to Toowoomba where she worked at various departments at Toowoomba Hospital until 2009.
Dr Kedilaya has attained her medical degree from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in India. She moved to Australia soon after in 2007. Dr Kedilaya has worked in various departments at the Bundaberg Hospital. She then later worked as a Paediatric Registrar at Caboolture, Bundaberg, Royal Chidren’s Hospital and the Lady Cilento Childrens Hospital before deciding to move to the calmer waters of general practice.
Originally from Malaysia, Dr Sangeeta Singh completed her medical degree at the University of Western Australia in 2016. She then worked at the Canberra Hospital for 2 years before moving to Brisbane where she worked at The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and the Queensland Children’s Hospital. She has done rotations in a variety of different adult medicine specialties, as well as adult and paediatric emergency medicine and geriatric rehabilitation before moving on to general practice training this year. She is currently in the midst of completing the Sydney Child Health Program. She speaks fluent Malay and some Hindi and enjoys sketching, traveling and cooking.
Nur acquired Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery from James Cook University in Townsville, Qld in 2014 before working in various hospitals across Queensland including Gold Coast University Hospital and Redland Hospital. Nur completed rotations in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatric Emergency, Cardiology, Neurology, Respiratory and Geriatric Medicine before commencing general practice training in January 2021. She was also part of a research group based in Redland Hospital in 2018 specifically looking at heart failure presentation and management. She is interested in chronic diseases, Aboriginal Health, women’s health along with all aspects of general practice.
Ataullah graduated with an MD in 1992 then commenced training in Paediatrics. He worked as a Paediatrician for UNICEF and WHO at a therapeutic feeding centre for malnourished children. He was granted a scholarship and completed an MPH at QUT in Epidemiology and advanced Epidemiology to pursue a future career in research. Dr Shinwarie passed the Australian medical council exams and commenced working as a PHO in mental health at the Prince Charles Hospital, Brisbane. He worked at the Canberra and Liverpool Hospital Sydney rotating in various departments. He has completed a DCH from Sydney children’s hospital.
His special interest are children health, mental health and chronic disease management. Ataullah is fluent in English, Pashto,Dari, Persian and speaks a bit of Arabic.
Dr Shahani Ikram completed her MBBS at the University of Queensland and enjoyed many years in Hospital Medicine before starting General Practice Training. During this time she worked as a medical registrar at the Prince Charles Hospital over multiple specialties. She also gained experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Paediatrics. Dr Ikram completed a Child Health Diploma through the Sydney Child Health Program. She has a keen interest in chronic disease management, women’s and child health, Indigenous Health, as well as Public Health policies and frameworks and how they affect the health of individuals in a community. She believes in taking a holistic approach to the care of her patients, as we are all affected not only by our genetics but the environment, community and country we live in.
Chong grew up in Malaysia and immigrated to Australia with his family in 2009. He acquired a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Queensland in 2019, where he studied in several hospitals including PA hospital, Rockhampton and Toowoomba.
Chong has done rotation in a variety of terms including Paediatrics (including Neonates), General Medicine, Surgery, Emergency and ENT. In his free time, he enjoys Gardening and Basketball. He can speak fluent Mandarin, however prefers to communicate in English.

Dr Paul Tembo completed his medical degree in 2001 at the College of Medicine in Malawi. He migrated to Australia in 2007 and began his paediatric training at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Sydney before becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) –Specialist in General Paediatrics in 2013.
Dr Tembo has been a Paediatrician at Toowoomba Hospital since 2016 and has expertise in all aspects of general paediatrics, consulting with children from birth up to 16 years of age.
Elmo Senanayake is a skilled and dedicated podiatrist. He has been delivering sports Podiatry, aged and disability care since 2012. Elmo has a Bachelors in Podiatry from Auckland University of Technology.
He has experience implementing a variety of measures to improve individual overall mechanics of the body and tested many orthotic manufacturing techniques. Elmo applies a range of techniques to improve movement by splinting, exercises, stretching and use of aids to improve function. He covers all aspects of podiatry including general podiatry, children’s feet, nail surgeries and more.
